This place offers absolutely wonderful delicious food and the service is outstanding! Very friendly staff who remembered that is passionate about their job and puts you in in even better mood while trying the taste dishes! My server remembered that I ordered similar item even though I visited about a month ago! There is a beautiful heated garden seating in the back for chill days ! I'm absolutely enjoying my lunch today!

I'm in the habit of writing positive reviews not negative, but I felt compelled to share given my recent experience. I Chose Jerry's to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday because of the awesome patio and whisky list. Given we have several whisky loving friends, we opted for the high end drink package beginning at 8:30 (no dinner, just drinks).
I'll note a few things, the good the bad and the ugly.
1. The good- the server (Dash) we had was amazing. He was so attentive and smiled the whole night. There was only one server and 1 bartender for the party of 30 people and they also had to manage the other guests (although by 9pm the place was almost empty besides us). This review does not reflect the service negatively at all.
2. The bad-When we arrived, we were immediately offered a food menu. I was told SEVERAL times, that absolutely NO food could be ordered off the menu if I did not opt for one of their food packages. I made it very clear to my guests that they needed to eat beforehand, so it was really annoying when the server made it sound like it was no big deal if someone wanted a sandwich of the menu!
3. The ugly- I had asked to bring in Molly's cupcakes as a treat for my husbands 40th. I had already ordered them and purchased cute decorations/toppers. When I called a week prior to notify my contact, the GM of the delivery, I was told that NO outside food was allowed to be brought in. ANNOYING- it was a special birthday and I wanted to made sure I had a special dessert. I was told that they have a "cupcake wars" award winning chef that would be able to accommodate my order and that I would be "blown away". I confirmed that I wanted an assortment of mini cupcakes in chocolate, vanilla, carrot and red velvet. This was confirmed a week before the event. The evening before my event I was contacted by the GM indicating that she never received my confirmation of the order and at this point it would be too late. In a panic I retrieved my email confirmation and resent it to her. I still had not heard back early Saturday morning (the day of the party). I finally heard back, with an apology and a reassurance that my cupcakes would be ready. WOW, WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! Out came chocolate and vanilla mini cupcakes purchased at Jewel- they were still in the plastic container. I was charged full price which was MORE than molly's would have been. Now for the UGLY part- i have reached our over 3 times to discuss this and have heard NOTHING back. Not a peep. You can imagine what I was charged to host a party of 30 people open bar with high end booze. What a disappointment. Molly's would have been happy to do a rush order on the day of. I've even requested an itemized receipt to be sent over.... no response.
There a many great options in Andersonville. What a shame this one will be off our list. -

Most of my reviews are in-depth, paragraphs-long dives into the menu and service of a place, but everything here is just so bleh that I don't think it's really worth it.
If you want to go to an empty space, with disenchanted employees, and a menu so long and so complicated that it takes ten minutes for the server to walk you through, then this is the place for you.
Boring, bland, and INCREDIBLY over complicated, it's hard to believe that this is a sandwich shop.
Sad we paid $80 for two sandwiches, a starter, and two drinks. An expensive and underwhelming lesson learned. -

A little off the beaten path of foster and Clark, but a great walk in the summer. *Plus patio ;)* This place is a standout for innovative sandwiches and has a large space so you should never have issues getting in. I've been here once before and was decently pleased with my experience. Nothing to write home about my last time but with the combined experience it's about time I sit down and review.
Last time I got the stoner grilled cheese. It is what you expect it to be. Mac and cheese, American, provolone, bacon arugula and hot sauce. I recall it being pretty delicious. Maybe I'm just crazy but hot sauce on almost anything makes it better and Mac and cheese with hot sauce is one of the best combos. I was impressed.
This time I ordered the Ansel A which is a fried chicken sandwich topped with buffalo sauce, American, avocado, pickles, lettuce, mayo and hot sauce. Wow - one might guess I have a thing for hot sauce. Unfortunately, this sandwich left something to be desired. The white bread took over the sandwich and added a bland flavor to the sandwich. I ordered the chicken grilled instead of fried but there just wasn't any flavor. The mayo seemed to take over the buffalo sauce because I asked for an extra side of buffalo to bring that back. All in all not my favorite. The side of Elote I got was good but could have been better if it wasn't so sour with lime.
The one thing I have to say about this menu is that it is intensive. You have a section for almost every meat that could be made up of a multitude of ways in a sandwich. A whole section of sides, cold and warm. Salads and an upside down menu of cocktails and drinks. I'm interested to know how many sandwiches they could eliminate to calm down this menu so it's not made up of 5 pages front and back along with two extra pieces of paper of beers and specials. The vibe is chill, movies on the tv and altogether a relaxed spot. -

Now I have been wanting to go here since 2016 when I lived in Edgewater. I went about a week ago with a really good friend of mine for a late dinner. Now I read ALLL of the reviews and I literally was like goodness this is about to be expensive and I might have to curse someone out for terrible customer service. Howeverrrr, to my surprise everything was totally the opposite! We had an amazing server by the name of Sean. Super helpful and down to earth. He helped picked our food options and my friend's drink. He even brought me three sauces for my fries. The fries were cooked crispy just how I like them. I had homemade bbq sauce, honey mustard and ranch. I don't even know how you tweek a ranch but Jerry's does lol.
My sandwich, Cerise R, was delirious. It was my top pick but the way it was made was soooo delicious. Goodness I would order a second time too.
